School Tours

We hold school tours, run by our Assistant Principals.

Next School Tour will be in Term 2

All at 9:30am - please contact reception to book in your school tour. 

- School Tours will only be available for residents living inside of our school zone. 

- There must only be a maximum of 2 people per booking that attend the school tour. 

Our School Zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au, which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Please note: Findmyschool.vic.gov.au will be updated to show school zones for 2027 by the end of Term 1, 2026.

2026 Foundation (Prep) Enrolments

The statewide timeline for enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for the 2027 school year has been released.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government school. The timeline seeks to make the enrolment process simpler, clearer and fairer for families.

The timeline applies to children starting Foundation (Prep) in 2026. All government primary schools, including P-9 and P-12 schools, will follow the timeline.

You can find information and resources about the new timeline, including factsheets, at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). The Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers will be available on the above website by Monday, 20 April 2026.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation 2026 at Ngarri Primary School from 20 April 2026.

What you need to do:

1. Contact our school administration (03) 8764 3999 to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process
2. Download the Foundation enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (optional, available from 22nd April 2025)
3. Visit the school administration to collect an enrolment pack
4. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation by Friday 31 July 2026
5. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by Friday 14 August 2026. If you receive an offer of placement, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026
6. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025

Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Documentation required for enrolment

The following documentation is required to complete enrolments at Ngarri Primary School:

• Child’s Birth Certificate/Passport/ImmiCard
• Child’s Immunisation Certificate from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Registry
• Completed Enrolment Form
• Proof of residential address – 100 points
• The child's latest school report
• If applicable:
• Visa or Citizenship documentation (if the child was born overseas)
• Completed Alternative Enrolment Form
• Medical Alerts - eg. Asthma plan, Anaphylaxis Plan
• Most recent Court Orders and/or Current Custody Restriction documentation
